Anime:
Dokkoida; for that crazy Fox Kids-type Saturday morning cartoon feel with some things for the more mature audience
Popotan; an adorable, weird, goofy, funny, kawaii-overdose ecchi (meaning tits) anime
Majutsushi Orphen (aka Orphen Season 1); for people who enjoyed magic anime like Slayers
World of Narue; Space girl comes to earth and falls in love with a boy, fun for everyone
Jigoku Shoujo; People get revenge on the evil jackasses who usually deserve it

Movies:
Blade Runner; For Sci-fi similar to The Fifth Element with Harrison Ford killing Replicants
9; An awesome animated steampunk movie produced by Tim Burton is like a cross between Fallout 3 and Little Big Planet (while that combination may seem sketchy, it actually works really well)
Bruno; While not as great as Borat (in my opinion) you still get some great moments from Sasha Baron Cohen

Music:
Chimaira; awesome brutal metal band recommended by my good buddy Chris
GWAR; my personal favorite metal band of all time
Moi Dix Mois; Gothic Japanese Metal band that preformed at AX 2009
Children of Bodom; Another recommendation by Chris, was unable to say no once I heard their metal renditions of 'Talk Dirty to Me' and 'Oops! I Did it Again;
Korpiklaani; Northern European metal that sounds like something Vikings would listen to if they were still around
Green Day; If you haven't heard of them, get out of your fucking cave. Their last two albums 'American Idiot' and '21st Century Breakdown' are epic

Apologies

Sorry for not updating in so long. My computer decided to quit reading my browser so I was forced to upgrade to Windows 7 (which is actually a great improvement over Vista). This fixed the problem I had with the internet, but the Windows 7 decided to block access to my CD/DVD-ROM drive, so I was unable to complete my Halloween movies. Two weeks after posting a plea for help on the Microsoft Answers forum, I have yet to receive an answer to my problem. So yes in the back of my mind I have been quite pissed the past few weeks. But I shall post reviews of A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, Blood: The Last Vampire (2009), Daphne in the Brilliant Blue, Inuyasha, Flight of the Living Dead: Outbreak on a Plane, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Miss Congeniality over the next few days. October Fright Fest

It is once again October which means I will continue my tradition of watching as many horror movies as possible throughout the month. This will also help my motivation to post more because I will give movie ratings at the end of the day. That also means plenty of reading for my loyal followers (as few as there might be). So stay tuned because my first block of reviews will be coming within the next 24 hours

Harry Potter And the Order of the Sorcerer's Half-blood Hangover of the Chamber of Azkaban

Today I was able to see some great movies. I finally got to see Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince along with The Hangover. Of course Harry Potter is loosely based on the book by the same name. I only say loosely because I'm not so sure a lot of the parts were in there, then again I only read the book once where as I've read the first five at least 7 times each. Never-the-less the movie was still great. I loved every minute that I saw when I wasn't waiting in a horrendously long line for a drink refill or running to the bathroom because I drink too much. 9/10 for movie 6/8 (the last book was split into two movies).

The Hangover was hilarious. There's a good reason why it was the number one movie in America for so long. The whole time I was thinking "I could totally see me and my buddies doing this". I also loved the whole cast, even though many of them I hadn't seen before or had only seen a few times. I can't wait to get it on DVD. 9/10 to this glorious comedy.

Crank Private Ryan to Hell

This post will be a trio of movie reviews. First up is Crank: High Voltage. I greatly enjoyed this movie and all aspects; the humor, off the wall action and awesome film techniques were just as good if not better than the first. It's the continuing story of Chev Chelios that picks up right at the end of the first movie. The Triads scoop up his body after he falls from the helicopter at the end of the first movie and remove his heart, replacing it with an artificial one. Just as in the first movie he has to do outrageous things in order to keep himself alive including an awesome public sex scene in the middle of a race track (which has me stoked to get the uncensored DVD). I give this movie 5/5 because of the total awesomeness.

The second movie is Saving Private Ryan. Of course this movie is one of the great war movies of the 1990s. Starring Tom Hanks, Matt Damon and Vin Diesel (yup his first movie). I really enjoyed it, I even got extremely choked up towards the end. If you haven't seen it yet then you need to see it. It gets a well earned 5/5.

Lastly is Drag me to Hell which I just got home from seeing (hence the late post). This is a film written by Sam Raimi and Ted Raimi. Sam Raimi also directed the movie and has also directed great films like Spiderman and Evil Dead. The plot concerns a banker who denies a loan to an old gypsy woman who then begs her and when shamed curses her. It's a pretty good film for making you jump and of course Ted Raimi makes a little cameo appearance. I liked all of the actors especially Justin Long. There were also some pretty gross parts but not like gory gross. I give it a 4/5
